Booking & Deposit Policy
 
 
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied toward your total service cost at checkout.
A signed copy of this agreement and a card on file are required to confirm your booking. If the signed form is not received promptly, your appointment will be removed from the schedule without notice.
 
 
Cancellations & No-Shows
 
 
Each appointment is carefully customized to your needs and reserves significant time in my schedule. While I maintain a waitlist, it is not always possible to fill a spot on short notice.
 
Cancellations within 48 hours will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
No-shows or same-day cancellations will result in forfeiture of the deposit and the remaining balance of the scheduled service being charged to the card on file.
Deposits are non-transferable to future appointments.
 
 
Late Policy

If you are more than 15 minutes late, I may need to shorten your service or reschedule, which will be treated as a late cancellation and charged accordingly.
 

Children Policy

For safety and insurance purposes, children under 12 are not permitted in the salon unless they are receiving a service.
 
 
Satisfaction Policy

I take pride in helping clients achieve their dream hair. If you have concerns with your cut or color, a complimentary adjustment may be booked within 7 days of your service. Adjustments requested after this timeframe will be booked as a new service at full cost.
 
 
Hair Extension Policies
 

• Extension bookings require the same 50% non-refundable deposit as all other services.

• Cancellations must be made 14 days prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid forfeiting the deposit.

• Rescheduling within 7 days of the appointment will result in a $150 rescheduling fee, charged to the card on file at the time of the change. This fee is in addition to the non-refundable deposit and will not be applied toward future services.

• No-shows or late cancellations will result in forfeiture of the deposit and the remaining balance being charged to the card on file.

• All deposits are non-refundable but will be applied toward your extension package if the appointment is completed as scheduled.

 
Home Care & Liability
 

• A Home Care Maintenance Sheet will be provided on the day of application to ensure best results.

• Hair extensions require regular maintenance. I reserve the right to use professional discretion in determining whether to proceed with any service if the health and integrity of your hair is at risk.

• By signing this agreement, you release Danielle Wessley, Studio Meraki, and employees from liability for any loss, damage, injury, claims, or actions arising from the use or misuse of extensions.

 
 
 
Photo & Marketing Release

I may use before-and-after photos for marketing purposes. By signing below, you agree to the use of these images without additional compensation.
 
 
Payment Agreement
 

• By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that you are responsible for all payments owed to Studio Meraki. Failure to pay, or initiating a bank dispute, will result in account suspension and may void future bookings. Accounts sent to collections or legal action will be the clients responsibility, including court, attorney, and processing fees.

• A 10% late fee per month will be applied until the balance is paid in full. Declined checks will incur a $25 fee, payable immediately.

• Avoid pulling or creating tension on anchor beads (first and last bead in each row)

• Handle extensions gently to prevent tension, discomfort, or damage

 
How to Shampoo Your Extensions
 

• Brush before washing to avoid tangles

• Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner

• Support rows while gently massaging the scalp

• Section hair to ensure a thorough cleanse

• Do not leave hair wet at the root to avoid buildup

 
How to Blow Dry Your Extensions
 

• Apply a leave-in conditioner before brushing or drying

• Brush from ends to roots, holding the hair to reduce tension

• Rough-dry hair 80–90% before styling

• Avoid applying high heat directly to wefts

• Use heat protectant spray before using hot tools

 
How to Style Your Extensions
 

• Use low heat and gentle tension

• Run hair through curling iron once or twice before curling

• Flat iron straight styles to smooth and blend

• Loosen hair before tying up to prevent bead stress

• Avoid teasing or backcombing directly on the extensions

 
Sleeping and Exercising with Extensions
 

• Loosely braid or tie hair in a soft ponytail before sleeping

• Never sleep with wet hair to avoid matting

• Use a silk pillowcase to reduce friction

• Wear a loose ponytail or braid during workouts

• Summer and Blonde Extension Care

• Avoid sunscreen ingredients like Avobenzone, Oxybenzone, and Octocrylene — they can discolor extensions

• Use mineral-based sunscreens with Zinc Oxide

• Rinse extensions with fresh water after swimming in chlorine or saltwater

• Apply a leave-in conditioner before beach or pool exposure

Tips for Long-Lasting Extensions
 

• Always use salon-quality products

• Reinstall extensions every 8–10 weeks depending on growth

• Never remove extensions at home — book a removal appointment

• Report any excessive shedding or tangling to your stylist
